Quantum Physics and Wicca
Mood:  quizzical

Quantum Physics easily interchanges with wiccan and witch craft beliefs, as well as their rituals and spells. The belief in other realms is akin to the belief in other worlds or universes where there exists different manifestations of desires from those in other realms. What this means is that the energy we create and send out to the universe in order to manifest what we want to happen for us in this universe, is also sent to other worlds where the opposite effect may occur. It is the science of Quantum Physics which achieves this balance and creates the vibrations of energy that manifests our desires in this universe.

The science of Quantum Physics proves the validity of magickal (energy) work performed by those who practice it. Quantum Physics has proven that all physical matter vibrates with energy. This includes non-living as well as living matter.  So, the sand of the desert, the birds, and the coffee cup you drank from this morning all vibrate with energy. According to Quantum Physics, physical matter and energy waves are the same thing. This is because all physical matter contains molecules and atoms which are made up of subatomic particles. Subatomic particles are tiny points of energy which bounce around erratically while maintaining their connection to each other. This connection maintains the form of the physical matter of which it is part and sends out energy from it in the form of energy waves which connect with the energy released from other physical matter. This provides a connection to all things and provides evidence for the belief that all things are interconnected and exist because of each other. There are 3 theories contained in the science of quantum physics which connect with Wiccan beliefs and practices. They are the string theory, the chaos theory and the Gaia Hypothesis.  The string theory describes subatomic particles not as points of energy but as loops of energy. These loops vibrate in different tones which determine what physical matter will be created from its energy. The string theory stretches to include all forces in the universe as well as all physical matter. This confirms that the forces of things like gravity and wind are also connected to all things. All things and forces are made from these same subatomic particles and operate under the same laws of nature. The Chaos theory is different from the string theory in that the string theory deals with small physical “things” and forces of nature, while the Chaos theory deals with bigger and more complicated “things” and forces like Karma, the earth itself and the weather. It maintains that even the slightest action can bring about catastrophic reactions. For example, a hummingbirds rapid wing movements as it hovers over a flower can effectively change the course of the weather in another part of the world. Therefore, the chaos theory of Quantum Physics helps us to understand that even the slightest changes in our actions, attitudes or beliefs can change the course of our future. Nothing is guaranteed or written in stone. It is what you maintain and work for that manifests in your reality. This concurs with the wiccan and witchcraft belief that without maintenance and dedication of one’s magickal work, the outcome is unpredictable; therefore chaotic. This theory also concurs with the belief that everyone has to answer to the forces of Karma; meaning that for every action there is a reaction. Good manifests good while bad manifests bad. There is no beating Karma, it is a simple fact of the forces at work in the universe that is supported by the Quantum Physics Chaos Theory. All things on earth depend on something else for its survival. Just as we, as humans depend on the earth, each other and our spiritual beliefs for our own survival…these also depend upon us for their survival; confirming that we are all connected like a web of energy to all things, great and small. The Gaia Hypothesis maintains the same ideas of the string theory and the chaos theory in that we are all made up of individual parts which function individually but the Gaia Hypothesis establishes a connection of these individual parts to the whole of the universe. For example, the vibrating energy of subatomic particles make up the structure and form of a tree. The tree is part of the earth, the earth is part of our Galaxy (the Milky Way) and our Galaxy is part of the universe. The Gaia Hypothesis maintains that the smallest of things, such as a subatomic particle joins together in the form of energy which creates the bigger things in which it lives. These bigger things are connected to larger things, these to even larger things and this connection forms the whole of the universe. Atmospheric chemist James Lovelock and microbiologist Lynn Margulis, developed the Gaia hypothesis with the belief that: “… all of Planet Earth is a living system that organizes itself and keeps all its parts in balance. The Gaia hypothesis links Earth's inanimate objects (rocks, oceans, gases, and so on) with living parts (plants and animals) and brings together all the planet's cycles and rhythms into one unified whole. The hypothesis links the evolution and survival of a species to the evolution and conditions of its environment.”

In conclusion, Quantum Physics helps to prove the ability of humans to effectively bring about changes in their lives by the power of their own mind and personal will. It is their intent and the energy they put into their workings which aids their desire to manifest in this reality (realm). All things vibrate with an energy which is connected to all other things, big and small. This helps to maintain a certain balance which cannot be altered without the universe taking action to bring everything back to an ordered balance. So, slight changes in balance can bring chaos. To help maintain that balance, what manifests by our workings in this realm will likely manifest as the opposite in another realm.

Spring
Mood:  happy
Topic: Spring

I have been watching the Crocus bloom and the tulips pop out of the ground. My lilac bush in the back yard is sprouting new buds. The trees are still bare but everything around me is coming back to life. I love Spring. It awakens renewed energy and strength in me. Rebirth. I can't wait to go camping!

Blessings,

Lady Lillie
